Would you please advise with a simple yes or no – if you are elected, would you support pressuring the coalition Government to bring forward, and vote for, the Member’s Bill introduced by NZ First, which seeks to repeal the Health (Fluoridation of Drinking Water) Amendment Act 2021 so that decision making for fluoridation can be returned to the hands of each local council?

I do not support it, so I think that’s yes. Also I wrote a blog on this from an email I sent as councillor

Yes, absolutely.
I am a member of NZ First, I attended Michael Connett’s presentation in Palmerston North, and I’m friends with Mary Byrne and Kane Titchener.
I was present when Mary handed the petition to Winston. See photos attached, I’m next to Michael’s fiancee, with Helma Vermeulen.

I am strongly opposed to fluoridation and will continue to fight it.

Yes
Yes from me! I support the proposed bill
I believe decision making for fluoridation should be made by each local council not by central government.  I am not keen to have fluoride in our water.

I would like to see the decision returned to individual councils because I believe in local democracy and local decision-making and have concerns about central government directives that cost ratepayers and residents money.

This would require some more research and some open dialogue with our community to get an answer.
