Would you please advise with a simple yes or no – if you are elected, would you support pressuring the coalition Government to bring forward, and vote for, the Member’s Bill introduced by NZ First, which seeks to repeal the Health (Fluoridation of Drinking Water) Amendment Act 2021 so that decision making for fluoridation can be returned to the hands of each local council?

Greytown/SWDC currently does not fluoride its residents and hopefully that stays that way

To answer this email in short – I am opposed to fluoridating our South Wairarapa water supply. I am no expert at all on this matter, however I am in favour of keeping all things ‘nature’ natural and also keeping our tamariki safe. There’s already enough bloody chemicals in all the food in supermarkets!

SWDC does not currently flouridate its water, and I would oppose this if it ever came up.

I strongly support that dental education approach is best and application of fluoride via toothpaste the most desirable option
