Would you please advise with a simple yes or no – if you are elected, would you support pressuring the coalition Government to bring forward, and vote for, the Member’s Bill introduced by NZ First, which seeks to repeal the Health (Fluoridation of Drinking Water) Amendment Act 2021 so that decision making for fluoridation can be returned to the hands of each local council?

Sure, all decisions pertaining to the Wellington city should be made by councils!

Yes, but this is a Central government issue and remains one.

In response to your email, I would support pressuring the coalition Government to bring forward, and vote for, the Member’s Bill introduced by NZ First, which seeks to repeal the Health Amendment Act 2021.
My family and I do not support the fluoridation of our water supply due to the negative health connotations it has. We actively remove it from our own drinking water.
Yes, I would support bringing the decision-making for fluoridation back to local councils. I believe local communities should have a say in these matters. I would hope the councils would ask the community and look at evidence before making a decision.
Yes .
Yes .

I’d always thought it was a good idea. Why is it not?

I’ll have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. I vote no.

I won’t support pressuring the government on this matter. However if the government makes the changes, then I will follow the advice and recommendation of the experts on this matter, and listen with an open mind.

I would give you an answer, but unfortunately my brain has turned to mush as a result of the fluoride in the water supply. Hope this helps.
