I was raised on the Kapiti Coast where I spent my first 17 years before moving into Wellington.  It was here I discovered I am hypersensitive to fluoride.   If I drink fluoridated water I break out in a horrible rash all over my body.  I’d been having itchy, burning uncomfortable rashes for quite some time.  Prescribed creams provided minimal relief and only if I was using them daily.  I realised I needed to treat the cause, not the symptoms and with the guidance of a health professional underwent a lengthy process of elimination to find the cause.  It turned out to be fluoride.  If I am hypersensitive to fluoride then others will be too.  How many people living in fluoridated areas are sensitive to fluoride but have no idea that the unexplained symptoms they’ve been suffering with for years are because they’re ingesting fluoride?
