There is now more research showing that fluoride is associated with brain damage than there was with lead, when lead was stopped in the mid-1990s.
Lead was removed from paint and petrol in 1996 after at least three decades of research showing that lead was a neurotoxin at what was then considered to be low levels. New Zealand was one of the last countries to do so.
Mercury amalgam fillings have been phased out for many years but are now being banned entirely from the European Union by January next year. The New Zealand Dental Association’s position statement on their website in 2024, states that “No scientific studies have demonstrated evidence linking amalgam fillings with chronic degenerative diseases”.
New Zealand was the last country to stop manufacturing the dioxin-laden 245T. 245T was a herbicide manufactured in New Zealand and aerial sprayed over farmland for over 20 years. Despite reports of birth defects and increases in cancer and other diseases in people living around the manufacturing plant in New Plymouth, the New Zealand Ministry of Health continued to claim that no harm was caused by 245T. Even today, in 2024, the Government denies harm. What they did instead was to gradually and quietly reduce the level of dioxin in 245T until it was no longer worth manufacturing.
See this TV3 documentary, Let Us Spray, that explains what happened with 245T as it provides a good analogy for what is happening with fluoride and how Government agencies will deny harm and continue to do something even in the face of compelling evidence.
The science has now well and truly caught up with fluoride. Fluoridation must be stopped.
